As you know by now I decided to sell the Italien at the January 2008
Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale Arizona.
It will sell as Lot# 1306 on Saturday Janyary 19th
in Prime Time around 6PM Mountain.
When I filled out the consignment form it asked for a dexcription of
the vehicle
and this is what I submitted along with 5 pictures of the car:
As soon as all the paperwork was completed and BJ knew I was serious
about selling
they issued the following press release on October 11th:
They immediately began a very aggressive advertising campaign featuring
the Italien
The ad on the left was placed in Car and Driver Magazine
the one in the middle was in Car Collector Magazine
and the ad on the right was in Hemmings Motor News
Many auto related websites picked up the Press Release and published it
on their
websites for their readers.
If you search "Thunderbird Italien" on Yahoo or Google you will get
literrally hundreds of hits.

and that on the right is from the BJ "Sneak Peek" publication on the
inside front cover.

The Italien even made it into the January '08 Playboy!!
No picture but just to have it mentioned in here is quite an honor.
I knew it was a sexy car!
