This is a picture of a 4V kickdown brack in place on the intake.

Here is the 4V kickdown on the workbench

You need to cut off the rod that runs through the kickdown.
You can cut either side somewhere in the middle of the opening
ie where the saw blade is laying

This shows the rod after cutting.

Take the piece from the right and it fits exactly inside the piece on the left.
re-insert the rod and cut it again about 1/4" longer than the brackets with
the 2 washers. Drill a 1/16" hole about 1/8" from the end and insert a
cotter pin through it and you're done!
