1964 Amphicar

June 14, 2004 Final update:
I finally got TRFNSRF 100% complete.
I took her to her first car show in Barnum MN on Saturday
June 12th and went away with a first place trophy.
My voice got hoarse from talking so much that day.
The next day I took her to a local lake and took some
of my brothers and sisters for rides.
They all thought I was nuts when I brought the Amphi home the first time,
that it would never float blah, blah,
They all LOVED it after they got to go swimming in her.
Now on Thursday this week (June 17th) I'm taking her to
the MSRA (Minnesota Street Rod Association) Back to the 50's
at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds in St. Paul MN.
I'll trailer it to the Twin Cities, so I fitted my
trailer with "D" rings to tie Amphi down with wheel snares
since there is no other good way to secure and Amphicar on a trailer.
Last year at Back to the 50's they had nearly 11,000 classic cars and street rods
from 1964 and earlier, and I only saw one Amphicar there.
This year there will likely be 2.
After that....

GONE SWIMMING!!
